Started in 1955, Security Metal Products has become the national leader in the manufacturing of standard and custom hollow metal doors and frames.  Chairman and CEO, Michael Hirsch, is a third-generation door manufacturer as The Hirsch family tradition goes back to 1914.  As President, his son James Hirsch leads the organization in the 21st century.  With a combined 130,000 square feet in manufacturing facilities in North America and eight regional offices through out the country, the Security team is dedicated to providing customers with quality products at an affordable price.

In addition to standard and custom hollow metal, our specialty products division encompasses the fabrication of sound rated acoustical, stainless steel, bullet resistant, blast/pressure resistant and watertight/sanitary doors and frames.

Security Metal Products offers a full line of stainless steel doors and frames for a  wide range of applications: from highly corrosive and clean room environments such as waste water treatments plants, laboratories, hospitals and food processing plants to aesthetically appealing building lobbies.

When security and safety are of utmost importance, or required by the Department of Homeland Security and DOD/AFTP regulations, Security Metal Products offers a full line of bullet resistant metal doors and frames.  Bullet resistant doors and frames are fabricated with the finest UL listed armor panels that meet or exceed the UL 752 Standard for Bullet Resistant Materials.  All doors and frames are designed to provide the best practical protection for the specified threat level (Levels 1 – 8).

For protection of personnel and private property and as required by the Department of Homeland Security, DOD/ATFP requirements, DOE,GSA Level C and D, and petrochemical industry standard (PIPITC), Security Metal Products offers a full line of blast and pressure resistant metal doors and frames.  Blast and pressure resistant doors and frames are available to resist up to a designed 4 PSI force.

For specialized medical, laboratory, food processing and sanitary applications, Security Metal Products offers a custom sanitary and watertight solution to meet your job-specific requirements.  Doors are specifically designed so that either a heavy wash-down or pressure washing can be done without compromising the interior construction of the door. Hardware reinforcements in doors and frames are provided in a sealed condition, allowing for cleaning fluids to drain.
